3. Collected information

We've structured the ATAG websites so that, in general, you can visit ATAG on the web without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. We make this notice readily available on our home page and at the bottom of every ATAG web page.

There are times when we may collect personal information from you. It is our intent to inform you before we do that and to tell you what we intend to do with the information. Generally, you will have the option not to provide the information, and in the future you will be able to "opt out" of certain uses of the information in accordance with the procedure set forth in paragraph 9 below, “Your privacy preferences and opting out”. If you choose not to provide the information we request, you can still visit most of the ATAG websites, but you may be unable to access certain options, offers and services.

4. Links to non-ATAG websites

The ATAG websites may provide links to third-party company websites for your convenience and information. If you access those links, you will leave the ATAG website. ATAG does not control those sites, their content or their privacy practices, which may differ from ATAG's practices. We do not endorse or make any representations about third-party websites. The personal information you choose to give to unrelated third parties is not covered by this ATAG Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any company before submitting your personal information. Some third-party companies may choose to share their personal data with ATAG; that sharing is governed by that third-party company's privacy policy.

5. Children's privacy

ATAG is committed to protecting the privacy needs of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children's online activities and interests. ATAG does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 and ATAG does not target its websites to children under the age of 13.

6. How we use your information

ATAG uses your personal information to provide you with services and to help us better understand your needs and interests. Specifically, we use your information to help you complete a transaction or order, to communicate with you, to provide service and support, to update you on products, services and benefits, to personalise promotional offers, to personalise some ATAG websites, or for other related purposes. Occasionally we may also use your information to contact you for market research regarding ATAG products or services.

We will give you the opportunity to choose your privacy preferences regarding such communications (see paragraph 9, "Your privacy preferences and opting out"). Credit card information is used only for payment processing and fraud prevention. Sensitive personal information is collected only to facilitate our financial service providers' credit decisions and will be shared with them only with your permission. Credit card information and sensitive personal data are not used for any other purpose by our financial services providers or ATAG and will not be kept longer than necessary for providing the services.

In order to offer you a more consistent and personalised experience in your interactions with ATAG, information collected through one ATAG service may be combined with information obtained through other ATAG services in accordance with your specifications.

We may share your personal information within ATAG and transfer it to countries in the world where we do business. Some countries may provide less legal protection for your information. In such countries ATAG will still handle information in the manner we describe here.

Although we use all reasonable means to ensure that the information you provide to us is not used by third parties for purposes other than those described in this Privacy Policy, ATAG is not responsible for any improper use of your personal information that is beyond our reasonable control.

Non-personal data is aggregated for reporting about ATAG websites usability, performance and effectiveness. It is used to improve the customer experience, usability and site content.

7. Who we share your information with

ATAG will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to others. ATAG will not share your personal information with third parties except in the course of official ATAG activities (see paragraph 2 above). ATAG contracts with third-party service providers and suppliers to deliver complete products, services and customer solutions and benefits as described in paragraph 6 "How we use your information". Suppliers and service providers are required to keep confidential the information received on behalf of ATAG consistent with this Privacy Policy and may not use it for any purpose other than to carry out the services they are performing for ATAG. These service providers may change or we may contract with additional service providers to better accommodate our customers.
