The ICAO 2024 Long-Term global Aspirational Goal (LTAG) Stocktaking event on aviation CO₂ emissions reductions is taking place from 7-10 October at ICAO's Headquarters in Montreal, Canada.
The event will provide a response to the 41st Session of the ICAO Assembly request to monitor the progress towards the achievement of the collective LTAG for international aviation of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, as well as the Third Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels (CAAF/3) request to monitor the implementation of the ICAO Global Framework for Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), Lower Carbon Aviation Fuels (LCAF) and other aviation cleaner energies.
This four-day event will focus on all measures and innovations aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions within the aviation sector. It will cover technologies, operations, fuels, cleaner energy sources, and financing, highlighting the latest updates from States, industry, and other stakeholders. The event aims to track progress in implementing the various components of the basket of measures for achieving the LTAG, in accordance with Assembly Resolution A41-21, paragraph 9.
Haldane Dodd will be among the speakers and taking part in two of the panels. For more information, please see the event website.
