Revised membership structure and statutes

Over the course of the past year, ATAG has been working closely with its Board of Directors to update its membership structure, with a view to:

  • attracting new members who could help achieve net-zero by 2050
  • bringing on board additional resources
  • broadening ATAG’s relevance as we enter a new era of air transport technology and energy.

The revised structure provides the following types of membership:

  • Principal partners (replaces former funding members): for companies that wish to devote considerable time to ATAG’s activities and have a strong influence over the work programme.
  • Strategic associates (replaces former associate members): for companies that wish to be regularly involved in the work of ATAG but with less of a time commitment and influence than principal partners.
  • Supporting members (groups together former active and partnership members): not available for new members.
  • Affiliates (new category): for companies who wish to support ATAG’s work without being involved in ongoing activities and governance.

The revision of the membership structure also involved an overhaul of ATAG’s statutes. Both the new structure and statutes were approved at the General Assembly in September 2023. Please click on the links below to download the following:

Welcome to new members

We are pleased to welcome Lanzajet and Gevo, who have joined ATAG as Strategic Associate members during the last few months. They are our first members from the sustainable aviation fuel domain. We are also delighted to welcome Heathrow Airport as a new Strategic Associate Member.

There have been a number of changes to Board level positions. A complete list of Board members is available here.
