ATAG / BloombergNEF "Financing the scale-up of SAF" briefings
ATAG is continuing to reach out to the finance community in 2025, to garner support for investment in the SAF industry. We are pleased to once again be partnering with BloombergNEF to organise a series of outreach events on the subject. The first of these in 2025 took place in April in São Paulo. Around 30 people signed up for the event and speakers included representatives from BloombergNEF, ABRA Group, Airbus, ANAC, Citi, IATA, LATAM Airlines Group, Energis 8 Group, ITAU, Santander and Systemiq.
The second briefing was held in June in Paris, at EY's offices. Organised during the Paris Air Show, it brought together around 30 representatives of the finance community and industry leaders. Speakers included representatives from BloombergNEF, Air France, Boeing, World Energy Services, Airbus, BBVA, and the energy and mining division of the Brazilian Embassy in Paris. Discussions focused on:
- How environmental policy is shaping the SAF market.
- Challenges and opportunities to SAF scale-up.
- Why long-term off-takes and take-or-pay contracts matter.
- What’s needed to unlock the capital required for scale.
- How opportunities for SAF production in Brazil and wider Latin America could progress ahead of the upcoming COP30 meeting.
Haldane Dodd also spoke at the following external events, on the subject of SAF and its role in driving the aviation sector towards net zero:

- Sustainable Skies 2025 World Summit, May, Farnborough.
