In recent years, Bombardier has actively been involved in the industry’s sustainability efforts and leads the industry with innovative concepts that will revolutionise the design of large-cabin business jets in accordance with published industry goals, and its own goals within its industry leading Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) program. The company made history in 2020 when it became the first business jet manufacturer to release an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its Global 7500 aircraft, which is third party verified in accordance with the International Standard ISO 14025. In 2022, Bombardier revealed its EcoJet research project that has the objective to reduce emissions by up to 50% through a combination of aerodynamic and propulsion enhancements and announced a mutli-year “Book and Claim” agreement with Signature Aviation for the purchase of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), which will cover all of Bombardier’s flight operations starting January 2023.
