The European Cargo Alliance (ECA) represents the interests of EU all-cargo carriers, bringing together the largest European operators in the industry. The ECA currently includes ASL Aviation Holdings, Cargolux Group, and DHL Express, each of which hold key market positions. The alliance aims to promote the interests of air cargo carriers in Europe fostering competitive air cargo transportation and addressing regulatory issues that affect the industry.
The ECA’s objectives include enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of air cargo operations, advocating for better regulations and resolving technical, environmental, and institutional challenges. The alliance contributes a specific air cargo perspective to external aviation affairs, customs matters, security issues and environmental concerns. To that effect, it regularly discusses issues with the European Commission, members of the European Parliament, national legislators and other industry associations.
